Britany Callahan - Stage Manager/Assistant Director
Britany has filled many roles in her over 20 years of being involved with live theatre including stage manager, vocal director, scenic painter, make-up designer, and assistant costumer. She is thrilled to venture into assistant directing for the first time, learning and working with such a wonderful team. As a performer, some of her favorite roles include Tracy (Hairspray), Annie Oakley (Annie Get Your Gun) and Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz). Britany is a graduate of Chapman University with a B.A. in Theatre Technology. She worked at the The Disneyland Resort for 8 years in Stage Management, calling shows such as Aladdin, World of Color, Red Car News Boys, Mad T Party, and Disney Junior, as well as numerous events. She now freelances as a stage manager, vocal director and piano teacher. This past Fall, she helped open MTOC Studio and instructs various classes there (Musical Theatre Showcase, A Capella, Music Theory). In previous summers, Britany and her sister Kristin teamed up as Music Directors for MTOC's Mary Poppins and Beauty & The Beast. Britany grew up surrounded by music, constantly playing the piano and singing with her siblings. She hopes to instill the same love of music and theatre in her young son, Declan. Much love and thanks to her husband Luke for supporting her in this endeavor!
